Louisiana Update

I previously noted a Louisiana case where a federal candidate requested and received a court order to suspend his opponent’s advertisement.  The election was Saturday and I understand the case was voluntarily dismissed.   I’ll have more developments later.

Former Rep. Wright Sentenced

The Winston-Salem Journal reports that former Rep. Wright was sentenced today.  The jury deliberated a little more than six hours over two days before announcing at midday that Wright had mishandled $7,400 in charitable contributions and fraudulently obtained a $150,000 bank loan.
