Legal Fees in New Jersey
Earlier this year, New Jersey’s Election Law Enforcement Commission rejected a request from an officeholder to use campagin funds for legal costs in defense of a criminal indictment. It looks like the trial will be in June. New Jersey’s advisory opinion discusses the use of campaign funds for legal fees under federal law, as well.
