Roll Call on FEC Nominations

Roll Call ($) reports: Senate Democrats have made their next move in the ongoing stalemate involving Federal Election Commission nominees, asking President Bush on Monday to either drop former Justice Department lawyer Hans von Spakovsky or begin persuading Senate Republicans to go along with individual votes to fill the five agency vacancies.

Political Contributions from Minors

The Charleston Daily Mail reports that an 11-year-old contributed $440 to the Clinton campaign.  The Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002 banned certain contributions from minors; McConnell struck the ban.  The Federal Election Commission subsequently passed a rulemaking clarifying when minors can give using their own funds.
