CT: Pay to Play, Lobbyist Restrictions Upheld
Citing “actual and perceived corruption,” a Connecticut federal court upheld the state’s political contribution restrictions on lobbyists and contractors. The opinion is here and news is here.

President Bush signed a law lowering Sec. of State-designate Hillary Clinton’s pay today. S.J.Res. 46, which reduces the compensation of the Secretary of State to the level in effect on January 1, 2007.
