Word Cloud

A “word cloud” is a graphics file that emphasizes words that appear more frequently in any text, such as the text on a website.  For example, here’s a word cloud for President-elect Obama’s speech at the Democratic National Convention. Here’s this site’s word cloud for October 2008:

Eli Pariser wrote this piece for yesterday’s Post.  He discusses the future of Moveon.org in relation to President-elect Obama’s agenda and internet tools. So if Obama’s agenda is to prevail, he needs to draw on a deeply committed, deeply engaged citizenry. No one else can tip the scale.
