Above the Law reports that a number of firms announced associate and staff reductions yesterday.  No word yet on if any of these firms’ political activity law practice areas took hits.  With the new administration, large government programs moving through the House and Senate, and another important election around the corner, I wouldn’t expect this practice area to necessarily suffer along with the overall economy.
