Tennessee Ethics Commission No More?

The story involving the Tennessee Ethics Commission takes another turn.  It now looks like the authority will be folded into another agency.

The commission was formed in the wake of the FBI’s Tennessee Waltz corruption sting in 2005 that led to the convictions of nine state and local officials and a lobbyist. It has come under scrutiny from lawmakers who say commissioners have been slow to react to complaints.

Last week the ethics commission fired its executive director, Bruce Androphy, in a 5-1 vote.
