President Obama named campaign Deputy Finance Chair David Jacobson to be Ambassador to Canada. The announcement omits any reference to his position on the campaign, notwithstanding that numerous other releases for administration appointments routinely include appointees’ campaign positions. For example, this release refers to one appointee’s work as an Obama campaign Press Wrangler.
