The Federal Election Commission Today

Today the Federal Election Commission held a public meeting and considered an advisory opinion request from Black Rock Group and a number of other matters.  The advisory opinion was held over, the audit report of Edwards for President was approved, as amended, and the Commission adopted new procedures for notice in potential enforcement cases from within the agency or from another government agency.   The Commission also approved transferring certain regulations to the Election Assistance Commission and disposed of a rulemaking petition, part of which was originally filed in 1999.  The audio of the meeting will be available here.
