Judge Sotomayor will become Justice Sotomayor tomorrow, according to SCOTUSBlog.  Argument in Citizens United is set for Wednesday, September 9.

Also, according to the Court’s docket, following a July 23 motion for divided argument filed by appellee Federal Election Commission, Senator Mitch McConnell has filed a “motion in support of appellant for leave to participate in oral argument as amicus curiae and for divided argument.”  On August 3, an “Opposition of appellant to motion of Senator McConnell for divided argument” was filed.  The docket is here.
