Win a dinner with a Nobel Peace Prize winner! And the legal issues of political contest rules

The Democratic dinnerCongressional Campaign Committee is holding a contest.  The prize?  Dinner with none other than Nobel Peace Prize winner President Barack Obama.

Contests run by candidates or political organizations usually have interesting contest rules that reflect legal and political considerations.  Sorry, residents of Rhode Island, per the contest rules you’re not eligible.  (Laws covering this type of thing vary by state and Rhode Island residents are often excluded.)  Registered lobbyists, foreign agents, and minors under 16 are also ineligible.
