Candidate Christopher Dagget’s payroll in the news

PolitickerNJ.com reports that independent candidate for governor Christopher Daggett treats some campaign workers as independent contractors.  Without speaking directly to his situation, campaigns are like small businesses in many ways, but they’re small businesses “plus” because most small businesses don’t have almost everything they do fall under the spotlight of media attention.  Campaigns hire and fire employees and enter into contracts and leases and do many other things small companies do.  Do campaigns focus on the bottom line and how do political considerations enter the equation?
