Former Gov. Mike Easley’s campaign was fined in connection with reporting flights, according to this report.

The State Board of Elections’ website has a link on its front page to subpoenas and exhibits without any explanatory information about the board’s actions.  The list of exhibits includes memoranda regarding the 2000 “coordinated campaign” for Democratic candidates in North Carolina.  Exhibit 41, for example, is a 21 page draft plan.
