Sen. DeMint proposes constitutional amendment for term limits

The Washington Times reports that Sen. DeMint proposes a constitutional amendment to impose term limits on U.S. Senators.

Senate leaders and longtime Washington watchdogs said Mr. DeMint’s bill had a zero chance of becoming law, mostly because of a general lack of interest and the high hurdles to amending the Constitution.

Here’s another term limits-related proposal.  A candidate

promises to serve no more than three terms, and if he breaks the pledge, he says he’ll donate $250,000 to charity.
