The Washington Times reports that Sen. DeMint proposes a constitutional amendment to impose term limits on U.S. Senators.
Senate leaders and longtime Washington watchdogs said Mr. DeMint’s bill had a zero chance of becoming law, mostly because of a general lack of interest and the high hurdles to amending the Constitution.
Here’s another term limits-related proposal. A candidate
promises to serve no more than three terms, and if he breaks the pledge, he says he’ll donate $250,000 to charity.
