As I noted earlier, Washingtonian features a report on lawyers this month, including an article by Above the Law’s Kashmir Hill and David Lat on why lawyers earn so much. What would a good Washingtonian package be without lists? And campaign finance and election law enthusiasts won’t be disappointed. White House Counsel Robert Bauer is number 11 on the magazine’s list of 30 “stars of the bar.” (The piece was apparently prepared while he was still a partner at Perkins Coie.) There’s even a full-page picture of Mr. Bauer.
Next up we have the magazine’s lists of Washington’s “best legal minds” in various practice areas, including its list of the “best lawyers to keep campaigns on track”: Jan Baran, Robert Bauer, Joseph Birkenstock, Bobby Burchfield, William Canfield III, Marc Elias, Craig Engle, Sonia Fois, Ben Ginsberg, Laurence Gold, Lee Goodman, Kenneth Gross, Ki Hong, Brett Kappel, John Keeney Jr., Robert Kelner, Carol Laham, James Lamb, Cleta Mitchell, Lawrence Noble, Lawrence Norton, Trevor Potter, Neil Reiff, Joseph Sandler, Scott Thomas, Michael Toner, Lyn Utrecht, and Jill Holtzman Vogel.
Washingtonian is available on newsstands everywhere.
