The DesMoines Register reports that Polk County may contract with Federal Advocates Inc. for lobbying services.

The Board of Supervisors will vote today on whether to pay Federal Advocates Inc. up to $70,000 for consulting and lobbying work over the next year.

“They have really opened our eyes to new dollars that can be brought into our community,” Supervisor Angela Connolly said. “It’s worth every penny.”
