Brookings campaign finance event tomorrow, but no Citizens United to mull

Brookings will hold an event at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow:  “Campaign Reform in the Networked Age: Fostering Participation through Small Donors and Volunteers.” I hope to attend and post some photos later on.

On January 14, a joint project of the Campaign Finance Institute, American Enterprise Institute and the Brookings Institution will unveil a new report that seeks to change the ongoing national dialogue about money in politics. At this event, the four authors of the report will detail their findings and recommendations. Relying on lessons from the record-shattering 2008 elections and the rise of Internet campaigning, experts will present a new vision of how campaign finance and communications policy can help further democracy through broader participation.
