Suite deal for Arlington City, Texas City Council

With the Superbowl a week away, what can we do for some football news?  The best I have is this story about Arlington City Council members’ use of a suite at Cowboys Stadium.

Since Cowboys Stadium opened in June, Arlington City Council members and their friends and family have used free tickets worth as much as $73,000 to attend not only Cowboys games but also other premium entertainment and sporting events, such as the Paul McCartney and U2 concerts, college football games and international soccer matches.

. . .

Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform, based in Washington, D.C., said that tax money should not be spent on “sports socialism” and that getting a suite for free “makes it even worse.”
