What’s next for campaign finance reform? Two important hearings today give hints for what’s next (with photos)

The House Judiciary Committee and the House Administration Committee held hearings today on Citizens United and potential areas for reform.  My photos are below.  There are sure to be a lot of new avenues for reform and research arising from these hearings and the thoughtful testimony of the impressive witnesses.  Although time was short and members had to shorten their questioning due to votes, the members and large audience (both hearings started out with completely packed rooms) appreciated the lively discussion. Roll Call has a story arising out of the afternoon’s hearings about the perception that Citizens United has severly diminished political parties.
