Roll Call reports that the House Ethics Committee has apparently folded its efforts to change a key definition relating to personal financial disclosure reports.

The House ethics committee has scrapped proposed rules that for the first time would have defined gay married couples as “spouses” for the purposes of filling out their annual Congressional financial disclosure forms.
