Today the White House Blog called for the Senate to confirm Federal Election Commission nominee John Sullivan and pending nominees for other government positions:  “It is time for Senators to stop abusing their responsibility to provide advice and consent on these well-qualified nominees.”  The blog post says that the Sullivan nomination has been pending on the Senate floor for 26 weeks, but the Executive Calendar says the nomination was reported out June 11, 2009.
