Union-Leader on lobbyists

In this editorial the paper discusses conflict between two candidates trading charges regarding lobbying.

Hillary Clinton was right when, in the 2008 primary, she defended lobbying as a sometimes necessary and perfectly defensible way for people to get the attention of their elected representatives. The problem with American politics isn’t that we have lobbyists. It’s that we have politicians who want to grow government so large that the people need lobbyists to be heard. We wonder if Kuster and Swett will ever see that.
