Campaigns bank $400 million

The Post reports. Although this year marked the most expensive midterm campaign in U.S. history, that doesn’t mean that all the political money has been spent. Federal lawmakers and former candidates still have almost $400 million left in the bank.

Lobbyist no longer representing Ivory Coast

The Times reports. Lanny J. Davis, a well-connected Washington lobbyist who had recently come under fire for his work on behalf of President Laurent Gbagbo of Ivory Coast, announced Wednesday that he would resign from the assignment.

Senate Ethics drops Dodd case

News here. The Senate Ethics Committee has dismissed a complaint of alleged corruption by retiring Democratic Sen. Christopher Dodd of Connecticut, according to statements Wednesday from Dodd and the group the filed the complaint.
