ONLINE VIDEO AND CAMPAIGN 2012. Here’s more on YouTube’s Townhall channel.

HOPE, GROWTH, OPPORTUNITY, AND A COMPLAINT. A new complaint was filed and there’s more about it here.Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, or CREW, said the Commission on Hope, Growth and Opportunity didn’t file required statements with the FEC. The Republican-leaning group told the IRS that it wouldn’t spend money on elections, and it financed ads to support Republicans in 2010, CREW said in its complaints filed today.”

NO CHANGES FOR NY CAMPAIGN FINANCE. Story here.  “A pending ethics bill will do nothing to beef up enforcement of the state’s campaign finance laws, according to people involved in negotiating the legislation.”

CALPERS AND GIFTS. News here.  :The watchdog is looking into whether CalPERS workers received gifts worth at least $50 from someone in a single calendar year without reporting it, or received gifts from someone worth more than the legal maximum of $420, said commission executive director Roman Porter.”

NEVADA TRANSPARENCY. Story here.  “Under current law, a candidate for office is required to file a campaign finance report listing donations and expenses at the beginning of the year and then just a week before Election Day in both the primary and general elections. But the report doesn’t have to actually be turned in a week before the election — it just has to be postmarked by that date.”

HAVE A GOOD DAY.
