  • Transparency in Government Act of 2008

    The Transparency in Government Act of 2008 provides for a number of reforms relating to the filing of FEC reports and the availability of other required filings under House and Senate rules and the LDA.   The “draft legislation” is part of the Sunlight Founation’s efforts at “online collaboration” and has not been introduced in the House or Senate.

  • FEC Appointments

    Rick Hasen’s site has the latest on the situtation regarding nominations for appointment to the FEC, which currently lacks 4 of the 6 commissioners.  He cites a Roll Call editorial (not available without a subscription) and offers his opinion on when we might expect a quorum at the FEC.

  • Training Certifications

    House Ethics provides a convenient form for senior staff to certify that they have attended ethics training.  The form must be signed by a supervisor, according to the guidance.   What forms are lobbyist-employers and firms that retain lobbyists using to certify compliance?
