  • The Obamas’ Tax Returns and the $3 Check-off

    I’m sure I will not be the only one to notice that in 2005 and 2006, the Obama family’s publicly available tax returns show that they did not designate $3 to the Presidential Election Campaign Fund, the pool of money made available to candidates for President who qualify for public matching funds during the primary or those who accept public funds in the general.  The fund has suffered a short-fall for many years.

    Today’s Birnbaum has some more interesting news on the candidate seeking to earn a salary from his campaign.   My original post is here.  My guess is that if the FEC were to consider the request, he would be granted some form of relief.
