The Austin Business Journal reports:

TAB President Bill Hammond says the entire case was the result of an accounting error.

“Six years of political persecution by Ronnie Earle has come to an end with a misdemeanor over a bookkeeping error,” says Hammond. ” Hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars that could have been used to protect our streets have been wasted.”
