Ethics officials cleared Colorado state Rep. David Balmer, according to this report. The committee looked into whether Balmer, R-Centennial, asked a lobbyist for the Colorado Chiropractors Association to pressure freshman Rep. Cindy Acree, R-Aurora, to support the lawmaker in his bid to become the House Republicans’ leader.
