According to this article from Tennessee, the state may merge agencies dealing with ethics and campaign finance. Gov. Phil Bredesen said the state should act to keep the Tennessee Ethics Commission, despite complaints from lawmakers about the watchdog agency set up in the wake of the Tennessee Waltz bribery scandal.
