The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit unsealed an opinion in In re: Grand Jury Subpoenas involving the Speech or Debate Clause. The case arose in the course of an investigation into former Rep. Tom Feeney’s connection to a Jack Abramoff-related trip. The Post reports:
A federal appeals court has ruled that information a lawmaker discloses in a congressional ethics probe cannot be used against him in a criminal investigation.
