Illinois ethics reform not over yet
Illinois Gov. Quinn will propose additional ethics reforms, according to this report. Quinn previewed the initiative to give voters more power Tuesday with the Journal Star Editorial Board, saying he will discuss it more during Wednesday’s State of the State address.
Indiana ethics reforms moving ahead
Here’s the latest on ethics reform in Indiana. The bill would prohibit lawmakers from becoming lobbyists for one year after their terms expire, regardless of whether they complete their terms. It also would require lobbyists to report gifts worth $50 or more, including meals, drinks and tickets to events. The current threshold is $100.
