The House passed H.R. 5609 today. I tweeted about this early in the a.m. as did the Center for Competitive Politics’ Sean Parnell (who had more context).
The bill started out amending the Federal Election Campaign Act, but was amended to instead amend the Lobbying Disclosure Act. The text isn’t available as of the time of this post, but it seems to ban lobbying on behalf of state sponsors of terrorism.
It passed 408-4.
