I’ve noted stories of yard sign vandalism again and again. With Labor Day gone and election day looming, yard sign violence is likely to grow. Here’s a story from today’s Post about yard sign incidents in Silver Spring, Maryland. Is it time for a group the Ad Council to produce a public service announcement to get people to stop the yard sign vandalism? (The Post story also notes that the homeowner received an anonymous letter about the signs in his yard. I can’t find much to be concerned with about that, but if yard signs are also removed and damaged, a reasoned letter doesn’t seem to make it better.)
