Federal Election Commission approves Obama-Biden advisory opinion request

Roll Call’s “FEC Approves Obama Bailout for Joseph Biden” is here. The Federal Election Commission will allow President Barack Obama’s campaign committee to pay for campaign finance penalties left over from Vice President Joseph Biden’s 2008 White House run.

Censure recommendation for Rangel

The Times reports. The 9 to 1 vote ends the committee’s two-year investigation into the Harlem Democrat’s improper fundraising, failure to pay taxes, and failure to report income on his Congressional financial disclosure forms. Committee Chairwoman Zoe Lofgren, a California Democrat, called the deliberations “wrenching.”
