The indictment outlines one series of actions that begins July 5, 2006, with Leggio issuing a $10,000 check to Nick Vito Cacucciolo. Proposed San Diego Limits
The San Diego City Council is considering new campaign finance limits. Councilman Jim Madaffer suggested the measure was needed for a limit that has changed little since it was introduced at $250 for all races in 1973. Madaffer said gas cost 38 cents a gallon and stamps 8 cents each back then.
Personal Use Allegations
In San Francisco, the alleged personal use of campaign funds is being investigated. The San Francisco Chronicle covers a hearing held by the San Francisco Ethics Commission on the matter.
