According to this Roll Call report, representatives of the American League of Lobbyists, CREW, and the ACLU will meet White House ethics chief Norm Eisen on Friday to discuss the Obama administration’s lobbyist restrictions.

This Times editorial characterizes the Obama administration’s position on hiring lobbyists as too “rigid.”  Well, at least with respect to how that policy may obstruct the administration’s consideration of Tom Malinowski, the Washington advocacy director (a.k.a. lobbyist?) for Human Rights Watch, to be global human rights chief.
