Fair Elections Action Week

Sorry for the late notice (if you weren’t already aware), but this week is Fair Elections Action Week.  It looks like there’s already a National Freedom of Speech Week. The Fair Elections Now Act is worth a look, if you haven’t already seen it.  It includes “fair fight funds” and other interesting complexities.

Jury Selection in Alleged Reimbursement Case

The Fieger case moves to jury selection. Prosecutors say Fieger, 56, of Bloomfield Hills and Johnson, 46, of Birmingham recruited 64 people, known as straw donors, to make contributions in the then-maximum allowable amount of $2,000 per donor to Edwards’ campaign lawyer.
