Another reporting milestone (see May 11, 2009 entry here) for lobbyist-bundled contributions is approaching. On May 20, 2009, certain monthly filing leadership PACs, Presidential campaigns and political party committees must file FEC Form 3L for the first time. GAO Report on Lobbyist Disclosure

GAO released its latest report on lobbyists’ disclosure today, “2008 Lobbying Disclosure, Observations on Lobbyists’ Compliance with Disclosure Requirements.” Among the interesting observations: The report notes that “the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia (the Office) plans to put in place a system to better track, analyze, and report on its enforcement activities.
