Campaign finance reform is going nowhere in Illinois, according to this report from The Chocago Tribune. An attempt Thursday to get a vote on a measure to expand campaign finance limits on powerful legislative leaders and state political parties failed amid partisan bickering in the House.

Illinois Gov. Quinn will propose additional ethics reforms, according to this report. Quinn previewed the initiative to give voters more power Tuesday with the Journal Star Editorial Board, saying he will discuss it more during Wednesday’s State of the State address.
