3M in the game in MN

So reports the Minnesota Independent. On Sept. 10, Minnesota-based corporationĀ 3M contributed $100,000 to MN Forward, an independent expenditure organization that has taken in large sums of money from numerous Minnesota corporations, including Target, Best Buy, Holiday gas stations and Red Wing Shoes.

Minnesota law stands for now

The Star Tribune reports. U.S. District Judge Donovan Frank ruled that the plaintiffs — Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life (MCCL), the Taxpayers League of Minnesota and Coastal Travel Enterprises — are unlikely to prove that the law hampers their right to free speech. Instead, Frank said, the law “serves an important government interest.”
