Legal issues surrounding chili and votes in South Dakota
It made the Times this morning. The attorney general, Marty J. Jackley, sent a letter to both parties Thursday, reminding them as early voting got under way that state and federal law bars giving any item of value in exchange for voting. Republicans had called the rallies a “food-for-votes scheme” that amounted to voter fraud.
