The Post reports that unions are transferring funds to the Virginia Democratic Party. A spokeswoman for the air traffic controllers said Friday that she was unable to comment on the donation, the largest the state party has collected from an individual or organization in at least a decade, according to campaign finance reports.

Virginia AG Bob McDonnell provides some election day advice here. McDonnell urges voters to vote early or at non-peak hours, prepare for long lines, work with their employers and employees to facilitate voting, make sure they know their precinct before heading to the polls, and bring their I.D.
VA: Extend the Night
The Washington Times reports on an effort to make election night a little longer. The nation’s first elected black governor asked Virginia’s governor on Wednesday to keep Election Day polls open for three extra hours to accommodate an expected huge turnout.
