Fighting the Auto-call Ban
CCP legal associate Michael Darner published “In defense of the right to robocall” in today’s Politico. Key point: “[A]t their core, these calls are citizen-to-citizen communication about the political issues of the day. Such speech is First Amendment activity, and limiting it should not be undertaken lightly.”
The AAPC is advocating to “keep auto-calls legal,” according to Campaigns and Elections.
