The Tennessee Ethics Commission has prepared a helpful guide for preparing for random audits of lobbyists authorized by state law. The Commission has the duty to “audit each year the registration statements, amendments to registration statements and reports of at least two percent (2%) of all lobbyists.”

Supremes Reject Appeal
The Citizens United case will not be heard any time soon by the Supremes. Today they rejected, on jursidcitional grounds, the group’s appeal from the lower court’s rejection of the preliminary injunction. SCOTUSBlog, as usual, covers the case in detail. This might mean that the post-WRTL II-electioneering-communications/genuine issue ad environment will not change for the 2008 cycle. Or does it?
