CA: CONTRIBUTIONS AT ISSUE. VC. “The Ojai school board president and several others allegedly helped conceal more than $1.8 million in excessive campaign contributions between 2016 and 2018, according to a federal indictment.”

NY: REFORM UPDATE. NYP. “You’ve got to give Gov. Cuomo points for chutzpah. Just days after praising the Public Campaign Finance Commission for slashing maximum donations to candidates for state office, there he was at a huge $25,000-a-table fundraiser for his birthday.”

TX: GUILTY PLEA. HC. “James Dannenbaum, the former head of a prominent Texas engineering firm and a major political donor, pleaded guilty Friday to circumventing federal election laws by helping employees funnel illegal campaign contributions to congressional and U.S. Senate candidates.”
