Accountable America released a statement on a “meta data error.” This may be related to the reports on some blogs that Accountable America’s source code showed that the purpose of the group was to “elect Democrats.”

It was brought to our attention late on August 9th that Accountable America’s website meta data contained information suggesting we were involved in state legislative elections around the country. This was a technical error related to using a templated open-source software package. Attached below is a statement from the company providing us Internet services.
