Missouri contribution limit moves ahead

Do you follow Missouri campaign finance law?  Here’s the latest turn in the contribution limit saga. Missouri House members are pondering whether to undo their most recent change to the state’s campaign finance rules — a shift that supporters had touted just a few years ago as bringing accountability and transparency to Missouri political campaigns.

Georgia lobbyist spending

The Altlanta Journal-Constititution investigates spending on lobbyists in Georgia this morning. An Atlanta Journal-Constitution review of disclosures shows that lobbyists have so far paid for far fewer meals, gifts and parties than last year. Overall, reported expenditures fell 46 percent, from $324,000 in January 2009 to $175,000 this January.

Campaign finance reform makes Obama 2.0 agenda
