Anti-lobbying proposals from two candidates
Robin Carnahan and Alexi Giannoulias are both candidates for the senate (Missouri and Illinois, respectively) and they’ve made proposals involving lobbyists part of their campaigns. The story from Missouri is here and another from Illinois is here.

Much of The Post’s riveting series, “Top Secret America,” touches on corporations’ contact with government officials. I can’t help but think of political law issues (compliance gift rules, campaign finance rules, corporate bylaws, etc.) as I read these interesting articles. I’m sure I’m not the only one.
