Hawaii candidates and committees face a requirement to file a Notice of Intent to Hold a Fundraiser form “prior to the date of the function setting forth the name and address of the person in charge, the price per person, the date, hour, and place of the function and the method of obtaining contributions.” Completed forms are online.
Proposed San Diego Limits
The San Diego City Council is considering new campaign finance limits.
Councilman Jim Madaffer suggested the measure was needed for a limit that has changed little since it was introduced at $250 for all races in 1973. Madaffer said gas cost 38 cents a gallon and stamps 8 cents each back then.
Davis v. FEC
