Fighting the Auto-call Ban

CCP legal associate Michael Darner published “In defense of the right to robocall” in today’s Politico.   Key point:  “[A]t their core, these calls are citizen-to-citizen communication about the political issues of the day.  Such speech is First Amendment activity, and limiting it should not be undertaken lightly.”

The AAPC is advocating to “keep auto-calls legal,” according to Campaigns and Elections.

I’ve previously noted the proposed legislation (here, too).
